Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement
Aging is inevitable, but how you age is not thanks to bio-identical hormone optimization (BIHO). Hormone imbalance is a common problem in both men and women. The process of aging brings a litany of changes to the body, most unwelcome. Hormones are produced by several glands in your body and are essential to your health and your physical appearance. Hormones decline in all people as they age and restoring them to optimum levels will result in more energy, better memory, a healthier heart, stronger bones, and a more youthful glow.
Bio-identical hormones are medications created with a molecular formula identical to the hormones our body makes. Estrogen and progesterone naturally decrease with age and using bio-identical hormones can help hormones increase to the levels that were present in our youth. This can help you achieve and maintain a better body, a younger appearance and better health in general.
Determining which hormones to replenish, how much of each to prescribe and how to keep all of these hormones working in harmony requires testing and careful supervision. Dr. Todd Dorfman will partner with you to create a multi-faceted program that meets your health goals
and successfully manages your aging process. Dr. Dorfman will keep your health on course, tracking progress, reviewing test results, discussing examinations and determining adjustments to your personal program along the way.

The good news is that this hormone imbalance can be addressed, and the associated symptoms corrected. To begin, a comprehensive blood panel is ordered, and a consultation appointment is scheduled.
Comprehensive Blood Panel
Following a phone interview, a blood panel is ordered by our staff. The fee for the blood draw and tests is $250 if done by Aesthetic Solutions staff. However, patients may find that their insurance will cover all or some part of this cost; if so, we advise our patients to have the blood panel performed at a lab approved by the insurance provider.
Blood Panel Review
After the lab has provided results, a 30-minute consultation is scheduled. The fee for the panel review and consultation is $200. This fee is deductible from the maintenance fee.
Narrow Focus Blood Panel
Approximately six weeks after you begin hormone replacement therapy, a more focused review is ordered. The cost of this panel is substantially less that that of the comprehensive panel and focused on the effects of the bio-identical hormones taken. The purpose here is to see how your body has responded and if adjustments are needed to dosing, etc. Although lower than the comprehensive panel, the fee for the blood draw cannot be estimated because it is specific to the specific hormone therapy of the individual. Again, patients may find that their insurance will cover all or some part of this cost; if so, we advise our patients to have the blood panel performed at a lab approved by the insurance provider.
Maintenance Fee
Following the consultation, patients may choose to enter the Bio-identical Hormone Program. The fee for the first 6 months is $500, reduced by the paid Panel Review Fee of $200. Following the first 6 months, the annual fee is $750.
