Aesthetic Solutions offers a unique approach to skin rejuvenation. This combines several well-established science-based procedures. Below, we explain this science, the procedure, and the price we are offering to our first 50 customers.

Collagen is the most abundant protein in the human body, found in the bones, muscles, skin, and tendons. Collagen is crucial to supple skin. The wrinkle-preventing protein that naturally occurs in our bodies keeps skin plump and youthful. Responsible for smoothing fine lines and wrinkles, it’s the skin’s structural net, which makes it resilient, strong and elastic.
Collagen can be considered the protein of youth, gradually decreasing with age and thus yielding what we see as wrinkled or aged skin.

Collagen Induction Therapy

So how do we slow collagen depletion or stimulate new production? There are no shortages to products and procedures that claim to do exactly this, including creams with collagen protein; these claim that it will simply be absorbed by the skin. Do not believe such things!! Collagen is a large molecule and simply too big to penetrate through the epidermis.

Collagen, which affects skin texture, is produced in the Dermis layer of the skin. It is this layer that is the target for advanced tools in skin treatment. Most notably in this field are tools which ‘micro-needle’ the skin.  The concept is rather straightforward: Inserting multiple needles damages the skin and causes the body’s repair response. This response includes the increase of growth factors as part of the healing process. In such, collagen production is stimulated.

The body’s healing process has been the focus of ongoing science behind PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Therapy. The idea here is to enhance our own healing response by injecting concentrated stem cells into areas of damage and thus where repair is occurring. The idea is that injecting PRP into damaged tissues will stimulate your body to grow new, healthy cells and promote healing. Because the tissue growth factors are more concentrated in the prepared growth injections, the healing process in enhanced. In preparing PRP, patient’s blood is drawn and then platelets are processed into a rich serum.  In turn, this is then injected into the target site. PRP has been broadly used throughout the body including shoulder, knee, hips, and other joints. Along with these areas, at Aesthetic Solutions, we target the skin and focus on the use of PRP for aesthetic benefits.

The primary concern when using PRP is getting the platelets to the area where damage has been induced. As noted above, the skin has limited ability to simply absorb a topical application due to molecular size. However, when combined with a micro-needle procedure, literature suggests an enhanced outcome. In short, it works! In the industry this is known as a Vampire Facial. The procedure is straight forward: 1) Draw and concentrate plasma; 2) topically apply the PRP; and 3) drive the PRP into the dermis with a microneedle process.

At Aesthetic Solutions we are enhancing the Vampire Facial by deploying two key elements: First: Rather than utilizing a traditional micro-needle machine, we utilize the Vivace (Vi-va-chi). Instead of just inserting and retracting needles, Vivace needle tips are engineered to create heat through Radio Frequency (RF). This is referred to as RF Micro-Needling.

This heat created by the RF targets the damage at a specific depth which results in maximum collagen stimulation. The surface of the skin (Epidermis) is protected from this heat by insulating the base of each needle. Thus, the heating creates more damage in the targeted area of the Dermis. The heat has a secondary effect of cauterizing the damaged area which reduces bleeding and also ‘tightens’ the skin. Second: In addition to topical application of the PRP, we also directly inject PRP into areas with more substantial and obvious wrinkles. Typically, these reside in the forehead and peripheral areas of the eyes.

At Aesthetic Solutions we refer to a combination of these procedures and techniques as our Enhanced Collagen Process.

Let’s review:
Numbing cream is applied to the treatment area. While taking effect, we draw and process blood to create the patient’s PRP serum. When the treatment area is numb the cream is removed and the face prepared for the Vivace. The patient’s PRP is topically applied and the Vivace microneedling takes place. Next, PRP is injected into the most notable wrinkles.

Aesthetic Solutions has been working and evaluating products for our skin care line. Although this process will continue, we have found that in order to meet the highest quality, product effectiveness, and customer cost, no one single line fits each of the skin care categories. Thus, Aesthetic Solutions now offers products from Lira, Face Reality, Aesthetic Solutions Compounds, Epionce and Neocutis.

Neocutis, a Merz company, has a Growth Factor line which we have found to be very interesting. This is part of their physician dispensed, Clinical Line of products. Their process cleans and isolates human DNA synthesized growth factors and then mixes these for long-term stability. We feel these products will be beneficial to our customers for post procedure topical applications. The Growth Factor Eye Cream and Growth Factor Serum both stimulate cell regeneration. Unlike the absorption problems noted with large molecular size proteins such as Collagen, Growth Factors readily signal the process through the skin. However, the downside of Growth Factor products is that they are expensive as a result of the manufacturing process—see below.

Although the greatest benefit will be achieved from having a combination of the Enhanced Collagen Process along with the post-treatment using the Neocutis Growth Factors, we are sensitive to customer cost. Thus, customers can buy these separately, if desired.
